EM, Eugen Melnykov, i was born in Odessa, Ukraine. I am singer and songwriter living in Germany.
I have always made something myself as a child. For example, the airplanes from the clothespins. My strengths were math and physics, so I studied at the construction college, but it wasn't what I really wanted.
When I was 16 I started to make music besides my studies. That was Rap at first. I actually wanted to mix my Rap with singing. When looking for a singing teacher, I found somebody who turned out to be an opera singer. After 3 weeks of teaching he told me that I actually had a good and strong voice and could sing something challenging.
So the journey began.
At the end of 2014 I moved to Germany.
In 2017 I started to finally do what I always wanted to do, which is to study singing at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory.
I finished my studies at the end of 2021.
Corona pandemic has changed a lot. I thought we will never be able to sing in the public sphere again ...
I once heard a good saying:
- there is nothing permanent except change.
from childhood to the world of music
and after that?
I had a long break and didn't sing at all.
Fortunately, I met an opera singer who helped me a lot in the further training of the voice.
In 2022 I was accepted into the choir of the Wiesbaden State Theater, where I sing in certain projects.
Then I got a role and was the lead actor and solo singer. They even wrote about me in the newspaper.
Who knows what can become of it.
